Greetings to you and your family. We hope to find you well. We wanted to take a moment to reflect on 2023 by saying Thank you! Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your encouraging words. Thank you for partnering with us! 2023 was a year of learning for sure. There is no ¨how to¨ manual on being a missionary, pastor, and servant. However we have a wonderful guide within God's Holy Word, and we have certainly leaned on it more than we ever have. Through it all, we have learned to keep a heart of thankfulness. I have found being thankful in every situation often changes its outlook. Misery loves company and negativity will always find someone to let it fester, but what about those who are thankful? As Paul well put it, ¨ I think myself happy¨, and that is what we will continue to choose to do.
As we reflect on 2023 we are happy to report we saw and felt the Glory of God fall down, we baptized, dedicated babies to Christ, discipled families, witnessed to non-believers, served the community and so much more. With your help, we were able to ship and donate hundreds of school books and supplies to children in need. We expanded the church in San Luis by adding a classroom and installed new electrical wiring for the building. Church Nada es imposible was able to purchase land and officially start the building project for the new church, finally uniting 5 home groups throughout the city. 35 new families were added to the 2040 program. A program that helps provide education, health, and most importantly Jesus. 15 students were taught to read, write, and speak in English. Several boys and girls received gifts for Christmas in San Luis, and 15 Native indigenous families received groceries for the holidays. All of this is only to name the highlights of the year. Wow! God is good. From the bottom of our hearts we say THANK YOU and Happy New Year. May your 2024 be even more.
Love,
The Huddleston Family
