Keep on keeping on....Amen
Report for April 2021
Blessings and greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour!
As many of you may know we have been in Mexico for over a year as of January 9th, 2021. God's favor, blessings, signs, and wonders are still mind blowing to us.
We've recently returned from a short trip in the States. We truly have been blessed. We had the privilege to speak at several different churches while we were there. We were thankful to attend the Deeper than Life Missions Conference this year at First Apostolic Church in Nashville TN. It was incredible and first class all the way as usual.
We had a great time visiting family and friends alike. Mj, had a blast visiting and playing with his cousins and friends. The Lord just knows what we need, when we need it. Matthew Sr. experienced one of the greatest moments of his life, Baptizing our son in The Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins. Mj came out of the water smiling ear to ear. WOW! To God be the glory! Mj waited 7 whole months to be baptized. He wanted his grandparents and cousins to witness this great day.
This time last year we were stuck in the States for 2 months due to the pandemic and
closures. This year, we were able to exit and reenter the country with ease. While in the States we needed a safe place to park one of our vehicles, so we parked it at the airport. When we returned the vehicle wouldn't start. I thought it just needed a "jump start"...but nothing! We had it towed to the mechanic in Brownsville TX, and to our surprise it needed a new fuse box and wiring harness. Just the part alone was $3,000. That does not include the cost of labor. Then we were told the car should only be worked on by the dealership. We knew the cost would skyrocket.
After talking to the mechanic and praying about the situation we asked God to open the doors. Furthermore, Kiara did not feel peace about crossing the border in two separate vehicles. The cost of repair outweighed the value of the car. We prayed God would give us a certain amount for the car. The next day the mechanic called and offered us the exact amount we prayed about!

Naturally, in order to sell the vehicle we had to sign over the title. Surprisingly, we had the title in hand. God just knew.
After entering Mexico we had the privilege to eat dinner with Sis. Mary Mitchlle in Saltillo and returned to Zamora afterwards.
Since our return, Zamora has been in an uproar due to an increase in kid kidnapping. We came back to the devastating news of a little 6 old girl who was kidnapped, raped, and found dead with her body dismembered. Marches have taken place around the city to help bring justice and awareness to the people. Sadly, these occurrences happen daily in our world with the United States being a leading country for child kidnapping and sex trafficking. Our culture has become DESENSITIZED by everyday entertainment, like law and order SVU. It's an out of sight out of mind mentality that doesn't become personal unless it hits home. WE MUST DO BETTER TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN! We have to be more aware of our surroundings and the times that we´re in.
The church, Iglesia Centro de la Vida and the people are still growing in Christ daily. We have met with the Pastors in Santo Tomas, to inform them, with Your help, prayers, and support, the church can be finished. The materials needed will be bought and finally the church will be finished in time before the rainy season! We have also told them for every chair or pew they buy, we will match it.This is only possible with your help.
Matthew Sr. has been busy with meetings and met with a local pastor in town to create fellowship and Unity. Michoacan is a prominent part of Mexico's circle of silence with less than 2% christianity. There is much work to be done and only through unity and the Holy Spirit can it be accomplished. We only want to follow after God's heart. God, we want to be where you are, and not stuck where you once were. Our prayer is by meeting with the coalition of fellow pastors, this will open a door for the Holy Spirit to move and unify God's people.
Please continue to pray for God's guidance and protection over our family. Pray for our son as he continues to adjust to a new language and culture as well as his education. Lastly, please pray that we will find a building for our church services in Zamora. Due to limited space and growth, we need to move out of our current space. To God be the Glory!
God is good ALL the time, and , ALL the time God is good.

Blessings to you and yours.
